While I was at the Chemist buying more cold & flu tablets (did you know you now have to hand over your drivers license in order to get the real drugs these days?!), I wandered past the Yes To Carrots stand as I always do, but this time I stopped. I was drawn by the colourful display and best of all, the price! The products are all quite reasonably priced, but the lip butters, they were about $5. Perfect for a gal like me who loses them after 3 days.
The C Me Smile Lip Butters come in 5 fun flavours including Berry, Melon, Citrus, Mint and um, Carrot. Seeing as though I have no smell or taste at the moment, I would go with the one I would normally choose, which was the Berry Lip Butter. Polling the office, the girls (and guys) think it is quite a nice scent, so you'll just have to take their word for it until my senses come back!
Many stick lip balms tend to leave a thick layer of product over your lips, but this one is different. It seems to melt on contact and leave just a light layer that lasts for ages. There isn't any real shine, but my lips feel so much better than they did a few days ago. The ingredients are packed with 99% organic goodness including coconut oil, beeswax, shea butter and of course, carrot root extract, all while giving it a 3 year shelf life, which is pretty amazing. So even if I wasn't on a recessionista spending ban due to my car dying and costing thousands to repair, I would highly recommend these. The price is just the icing on the top. As for the carrot flavoured balm, I'll have to get back to you on what that is like.
Yes To Carrots C Me Smile Lip Butter is available from some chemists, Priceline, David Jones and Big W for around $5

Hi Kate,
Thank you for your post. I am really loving the balm and I look forward to trying more from the brand.
I hope the coloured lip products are out here in Australia soon!

$5 you say?????
I'm a bit of a balm addict myself. Think I need me some of these. Though I reckon I might get the mint. Hehe.
Right now I have the Lush Honey Trap lip balm and it is so delicious - one of the top 6 or so ingredients is WHITE CHOCOLATE!!
Esz, I have NEVER tried anything from Lush!
Every time I walk past the store, the smell is just so overpowering I can never make it inside.
Oh yeah, and I was at the chemist tonight and they were $4.95 :)
